The next meeting of the seminar Theories of property and poverty will take place Saturday, from 5 pm. The subject of this meeting will concern the theoretization of the issue of social inequality and political economy in the texts of Jane Jacques Rousseau, as they are discussed in The Discourse on Inequality and On Political Economy. Starting the discussion on the social origin of inequality and the implications of a model of political economy in the context of a previous discussion of the relations between the citizen and the state, we will engage with various themes, such as taxation, revenues, social inequality, private property and social redistribution.
