Gazette of Political Art #12

5th of February 2016, 6 pm.

str. Brassai Samuel no. 5., Cluj

Launch of the Gazette of Political Art #12 /// In the name of the periphery: decolonial theory and intervention in the Romanian context.

Presentation held by the coordinators of issue 12th - Veda Popovici and Ovidiu Pop

The contributions explore the way in which the desire for belonging to Western Europe shapes the definitions - produced by the Romanian society, in particular, and of Eastern Europe, in general - of collective identity, citizenship, art and social transformation. In the context of the reinforcement of Fortress Europe, the decolonial option opens new routes of solidarity with the Global South. GAP sets out an invitation to discuss these themes and to find together new possibilities of critical organizing and action.
