Reactions to “The Psychology of the Romanians: The psychological profile of the Romanians in a cognitive-experimental monograph” by Daniel David
The recent publication of “The Psychology of the Romanians” has occasioned a series of reactions and controversies around the ideas of nation, nationhood and the manner in which these can be conceived of as either individual or collective entities. The present debate will follow up on some of these discussions, together with the author, on themes such as research methodology, scientificity, inter- and transdisciplinarity, as well as the political instrumentalization of academic research.

Daniel David is „Aaron T. Beck” professor of clinical psychology and psychotherapy at Babeş-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca, adjunct professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New-York, SUA and head of the research program at Albert Ellis Institute, New York, USA.
Călin Goina is a lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, Babeş-Bolyai University.
Marius Lazăr is a associate professor at the Sociology Department of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, Babeş-Bolyai University. His research interests regard the sociology of intellectual elite, ethnic relations, sociology of arts and literature.
Raluca Perneș is a junior lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, Babeş-Bolyai University. Her research interests are in the area of state, property relations, legal pluralism and social inequality.
Norbert Petrovici is a lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, Babeş-Bolyai University.
