Gadó Flóra – EAST ART MAGS residency at tranzit.ro/ Cluj

EAST ART MAGS is an initiative of four art magazines in the East Central European region.

This partnership includes Artalk from Czech Republic / Slovakia,
Artportal form Hungary, SZUM from Poland and Revista Arta Online from Romania.

EAST ART MAGS (EAM) is aiming to become a platform of content about the current proceedings of the contemporary art scenes in the abovementioned countries. EAM’s first project is an art critic residency and content sharing program throughout 2017.

The residency program has two legs, one in Romania and one in the Visegrad countries and includes six cities all together: Bucharest, Budapest, Cluj, Bratislava, Prague, Warsaw.

EAST ART MAGS residency and content sharing program is supported by AFCN in Romania and by VISEGRAD FUND in Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.

Flóra Gadó (1989) is a freelance curator, art critic and Ph.D. student based in Budapest. She graduated in 2015 from Eötvös Loránd University with an MA in Art Theory. Currently, she is enrolled in the faculty’s Ph.D. program in Film, Media and Cultural Theory. She curated several exhibitions in Hungary and organized exhibitions in the region, for example at Tabacka Gallery (Kosice) and IGLOO Gallery (Jihlava). In 2014-15 she was part of the organizing team of OFF-Biennale Budapest and since 2016 she is the member of the research group Open Museum, which focuses on participatory and collaborative practices in museums.
