The next meeting of our seminar, Theories of property and poverty in modern philosophy will take place on May 26th, at 17.00, at tranzit.ro/Cluj. The discussion will start from Jeremy Bentham's text, Defence of Usury. As the famous marxist saying goes, Liberty, Property, and Bentham, the latter is one of the major authors of the utilitarian theory, laying the theoretical grounds for what will become at the end of the 19th century the marginalist revolution, and also, foundation for the neoclassical political economy.
